報載：「經典搖滾 三十不滅 (2006/06/30) 成名超過20年的草根搖滾耕耘者湯姆佩蒂(Tom Petty)和他的傷心人樂團(Heartbreakers)在美國俄亥俄州的搖滾樂名人館(Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum)舉辦「三十年搖滾樂生涯」展，對外公開展覽日期為30日到2007年。圖為29日慕名而來的忠實樂迷欣賞各項展示品。(美聯社)」 來聽一首歌：

什麼才可以是人類真正的驕傲呢？

南方朔先生在社論中以威廉古柏的詩為話頭談起敬畏與謙卑（參閱2006.06.29 中國時報），節錄一段如下：「敬畏與謙卑，不是怕鬼怕神，也不是虛矯做作，而是心裡真的知道，人本身太有限了」。人本身真是太有限了，面對大自然的時刻特別明顯。看得到峰頂近在眼前，未必走得上去；湛藍海面即便一片平靜無波，也未必能活著回來，人越活就越膽小，或許也不是膽小，就是明瞭人本身太有限了。年少輕狂無非就是恣意對人性試煉，對人性缺乏敬畏，人生就會千瘡百孔，這不是什麼好事，滿面風霜只是詩意的想望，真正顛沛周折的人，都盡量找尋寧靜安詳好好躲藏。或許人真的是太聰明了，甚至可以創造另一種世界逃離上帝的魔掌，然而...我比較擔心的倒是：倘若有一天，五光十色的人造世界被拔去了插座，電能消失的瞬間，我們還可以怎麼繼續以身為聰明的人類而驕傲？
